Fee Structure

To provide a clear and accurate fee structure that ensures the Centre can plan for appropriate staffing levels and meet all financial obligations.

  • The Centre will review fees annually to ensure fee increases are manageable for families. Increases should be consistent with current inflation.

  • Regular fees are still charged for any absences.

  • Fees are not charged during the 3-week closure at the end of each year.

  • 10% sibling discount is given to families with 2 or more children enrolled in the Centre at the same time.

Current Fees

As of 15 January 2019, the Centre charges the following:

Under 2

2 yrs. old

3-4 yrs. old*

1 x Day

2 x Days

3 x Days

4 x Days

5 x Days

* With 20 hours ECE subsidy – optional charges

Siblings receive a 10% discount on the above fee charges.

Any trips to outside places like farms, the zoo, beach or parks are included in the fees that you pay. No extra money will be asked for.

Funding & Subsidies

The Ministry of Education Funding is used to cover the aspects of ECE provision required by regulation. Funding subsidy from the Ministry of Education is for a maximum of 6 hours per day per child.  Funding for 20 hours ECE is for a maximum of 6 hours per day and 20 hours per week per child.

If your child or children are absent for three or more consecutive weeks Ministry of Education funding is stopped.  Therefore if your family is taking an extended holiday, you may be asked to pay full fees while ECE subsidies are not received.

A subsidy is available from WINZ (Income and Support) for families on a low income, please contact your nearest WINZ office.

The first month’s fees (non-refundable deposit) are to be paid at the time of confirmation of enrolment.

The policy of the Centre is for fees to be paid one week in advance of attendance, therefore a second payment is due on the child’s first day. Fees must be maintained 1 week in advance.

Fees can only be paid by automatic payment. We accept weekly, fortnightly or monthly frequencies.

Leaving & Reducing Days

One months notice is required for children being withdrawn from the Centre.  Fees paid in advance will be refunded in full only when one months notice is given.

One months notice is required when requesting altering (dropping) the days the child/ren attends the centre. This arrangement must work for both parties.

Sickness & Holidays

No fees are charged when the centre closes for three weeks at Christmas.

Fees are charged in full for the time your child is booked in and not just for the time of his or her attendance i.e. sickness. This includes statutory holidays.

Parents/caregivers will be charged 100% for the day that their child attends the Centre, but is asked to go home because of sickness.

Regular fees are still charged when a child is away on holiday.

Any child not picked up after 5:30 pm without notification will incur a $25 late fee.
